Honeywell HM-PTSE Photo-Thermal Multi-Sensor Detector

An addressable multi-criteria detector that adds thermal assistance to the optical detection chamber, with embedded software managing the two elements as a single unit taking one address on the loop. The benefit of that combination runs in two directions at once: better immunity to false alarms from steam, dust or cooking aerosols, and a faster response across a wider range of incipient fires than an optical chamber alone can give. The device conforms to both the smoke detector and the heat detector standards, and also holds CEA 4021 approval, so it can be specified where an insurer requires that level of qualification rather than the minimum standard. Sensitivity for each element is set from the panel, with two autolearn settings, three fixed settings and a thermal-only mode for periods when the space is unusually dirty or dusty. The thermal element works from a fixed threshold at fifty eight degrees Celsius with rate of rise assistance. Twin indicators give full three hundred and sixty degree visibility, and a built-in test function is provided.
