Honeywell HM-RHSE Rate of Rise Thermal Detector

An addressable heat detector built around a single thermistor and a microprocessor, raising an alarm either at a fixed threshold of fifty eight degrees Celsius or on a rate of rise of ten degrees per minute. This is the correct choice in areas where smoke, fumes or dust are a normal part of daily operation, such as kitchens, laundries, boiler rooms, car parks and production workshops. In those spaces a smoke detector produces repeated false alarms, and the practical outcome is always the same: the zone gets isolated permanently and the area ends up with no protection at all, which is the worst possible result. A heat detector keeps real coverage in place because it does not react to the conditions that are supposed to be there. The response classification is A1R, and two red indicators give full three hundred and sixty degree visibility. A fixed-threshold-only version is available for cases where rate of rise is not wanted.
